Hakah

In 2012, after graduating from a college of cosmetology and hairdressing in Japan, HAKAH moved to Paris to start his career as a hairdresser at the age of 20. Through his days in Paris, he learned French dry cut techniques and sensed differences in how people take care of their hair in Paris and Japan. This led him to decide to become a hair stylist with notable work assisting renowned hair artists such as Tomihiro Kono, a key hair stylist for the Junya Watanabe Collection. Realising the possibilities of how hair artists can expand the world of art and absorbing their uniqueness had stimulated HAKAH to look for his own originality. He was especially fascinated by head props which can be used to broaden artistic expression by adding material, and so he began to experiment.
