Anne Stooker, Utrecht 1984, The Netherlands

Anne’s work focusses on simple things in everyday life. Things that mostly aren’t noticed or
don’t stand out. With her attention to detail and aesthetics, she uses her work to give daily life a touch of joy. Iconic items and images inspire Anne to create single object artworks. Anne has a stylistic approach with watercolor painting and pencil drawing as her favorite techniques.
Anne graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2006. She lives & works in Amsterdam. Her work was exhibited in, among others, Museum MOTI in Breda and represented in ELLE and Volkskrant Magazine. Anne is inspired by the works of artists like Martin Greed, Erwin Wurm and Maurizio Cattelan. In their work she recognizes the same way to look at the world with humor and a critical mind. In addition to her work for commissioned assignments, Anne gives workshops and she is a freelance teacher at the Artemis Academy for Design & Styling in Amsterdam.
